Here we go again with another outing by “The Riddler”. Notorious for being a “hit or miss” director. I have hopes for this movie, it looks pretty good to be honest. Ridley has been good with an original IP in last decade (The Martian, The Last Duel). This time with Peter Heller’s book “The Dog Stars”, which I haven’t read and probably won’t. Unless the film will really inspire me.
With the exception that this trailer has a bit too much action going on for its own good and I’m hoping that this film will be more drama driven as a whole. All that action might be the reason for people thinking this trailer looks kinda generic. Also, this movie aint buzzin as for now. Most seem to be sleeping on it. Me, I’m always there for another Ridlet Scott film even if they’re not all bangers.
Also, I have to say something about this new poster though, for me, it is not really selling the game, I mean movie.
